Probably backing Trump for entirely self serving reasons.
Should the DonOld revoke EV mandates and subsidies, GM, Ford and Stellantis will quickly abandon all EV production and leave him the sole builder. Chinese competition is already stifled with huge tariffs, and he will impose them on cars from Europe and no doubt try to add Mexico to the list as well.
