TLDR: Putin bloodlust and callousness has opened up an opportunity and Poland has now used it to exploit a weakness that Trump needed to cover off. This has created a momentum all its own. A mussel only builds strength through exertion and the EU is now pumping iron strait to Ukraine.

TLDR Secondary tariff under Trump is a bluff and Putin knows it. The reason that Trump scrambled for the bluff to begin with isn't going away. The US position as a power broker is undermined and weak and the problem is at the top. Trump is discovering he can't bully rising powers such as India.
