Re: Ukraine war thread
Economic Impact in Russia: Ukraine has launched a series of successful drone strikes against Wildberries distribution centers (0:07-0:49), causing massive financial losses, warehouse destruction, and disrupting the company's ability to operate. This, combined with attacks on major oil refineries like Perm and Ryazan (9:03-10:01), is further straining the Russian economy, which is already dealing with record bankruptcy levels and labor shortages (7:50-8:31).
Military Operations: Ukraine continues to target Russian infrastructure in occupied Crimea, destroying radar systems and energy facilities (10:04-12:56). Additionally, data suggests that Ukraine’s long-range drone production is currently outpacing Russia's (15:59-16:43).
Political Developments: The video covers the recent bipartisan U.S. Senate sanctions bill (24:48-26:56) and discusses the complex political situation surrounding the dismissal of former Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov (17:50-24:00).
Geopolitical Tensions: The narrative explores the potential link between the conflicts in Ukraine and Iran (31:29-33:50), and highlights concerning incidents of anti-Ukrainian sentiment and hate crimes within Poland (36:54-39:34), despite the support offered by Prime Minister Donald Tusk (39:34-40:21).

Wildberries Hub Strike: A major Wildberries facility in Novosemeykino, Samara region, was destroyed by a drone strike (0:11 - 1:02). The creator notes this is the 11th such hub destroyed, highlighting that these facilities are highly flammable and cover massive areas—this one measured 178,000 square meters (0:46).
Oil Refinery Strike: The Saratov oil refinery was hit by multiple drones, causing significant fires (1:52 - 2:05). This facility is a major regional asset with an output of 7 million tons per year (2:07).
Air Base Strike: The Engels-2 air base, a key site for Russian strategic bombers, was also targeted (3:05 - 3:45). There were reports of a Tu-160 bomber arriving at the base shortly before the attack (3:24).
The creator emphasizes that these strikes demonstrate an increasing range and capability of Ukrainian drone operations, noting that many of these strategic sites are now within reach (1:10 - 1:28, 3:45).
11 out of 20 now. Nothing burns like wild berries.

Russian media have reported details of the attack near Moscow's Balzi Rossi restaurant, where an improvised explosive device detonated yesterday:
At around 7:50 p.m. Moscow time, a woman attempted to enter the Balzi Rossi restaurant, where a celebration was taking place. A security guard stopped her at the entrance, and then an explosion occurred.
The explosive device had a yield equivalent to approximately 1 kg of TNT and was packed with metal ball bearings.
The blast killed the woman carrying the explosives, the restaurant's security guard, and one guest. 21 more people injured.
Several "Z-bloggers" claim that the likely target of the attack was Russian Aerospace Forces Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Chaiko. According to reports, he was not injured.
A video showing preparations for the celebration at the restaurant has appeared online, featuring the sign "Aleksandr 55." Chaiko turned 55 on July 27.
Chaiko was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces in May this year. At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he commanded the Eastern Military District. He has been linked to crimes committed by Russian forces in Bucha.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, he oversees Russia's strategic aviation and air defense and is directly responsible for Russia's nightly aerial attacks on Ukraine.
According to media reports, guests at the event included FSB officers, generals, lawmakers, and government officials. Chaiko reportedly intended to combine his birthday celebration with a celebration marking his appointment to the new position.

Energy Infrastructure: Ukraine has continued targeting oil refineries across Russia, including facilities in Volgograd (0:42), Sarat (1:13), and Ufa (1:19). The report notes that these strikes have significantly degraded Russian refining capacity, forcing the country to import fuel from abroad, such as Morocco (4:51).
Logistics and Economy: The campaign has expanded to include Wildberries distribution centers and logistics hubs, such as those in Volgograd and Samara (5:42-7:00). These attacks aim to disrupt internal supply chains, place financial strain on major state-controlled banks like VTB (11:00), and create public frustration.
Battlefield and Occupied Territories: The video highlights persistent efforts to disrupt Russian logistics through strikes on fuel convoys (20:43) and energy substations in occupied areas (19:35). The host also discusses the high casualty rates for Russian troops (23:55) and the ongoing challenges of defending Kyiv against ballistic missile attacks in the absence of sufficient Patriot air defense systems (26:45).
Political Context: The video covers the ongoing public protests in Kyiv demanding the return of former Defense Minister Fedorov (30:17) and critiques Donald Trump's recent statements regarding the licensing of Patriot missile production for Ukraine (33:43).

Energy Sector Strikes: Ukrainian drones targeted and damaged four oil refineries, including facilities in Saratov and Ufa (0:33-0:49, 11:01-11:26). The Saratov refinery, which processes 140,000 barrels per day, was specifically targeted in its main processing units (9:01-9:26).
Military Infrastructure: The Engels-2 air base, home to Russia's strategic bomber fleet, was hit, with reports confirming damage to infrastructure and life support systems at the airfield (0:33, 13:07-13:26).
Economic and Social Impact: Russia is experiencing a deep economic crisis, characterized by fuel shortages, severe logistics breakdowns, and massive price hikes for consumer goods (17:46-18:43). The video also discusses Russia's growing debt burden, noting that interest payments now consume a larger share of government spending than in nations like Italy, Spain, and Greece (23:01-24:34).
Targeting of Elites: The video reports on an operation in a Moscow restaurant where the commander of Russia's Aerospace Forces allegedly narrowly escaped an attack that resulted in casualties among other attendees (24:46-26:03).
