Freeland Resigns

Christia Freeland announced her resignation on social media just as the economic report comes out another $20 billion added to her $41 billion deficit target.
Reasons given include JT's inability to stick to a target, the inappropriate and uncoordinated planning of a response to Donald Trump's threats and most likely unstated the Party's plan with Mark Carney. She does plan to run agian, so look forward to a leadership run post election.

This follows the resignation of Sean Fraser the Housing Minister by one day and Jagmeet's call for Trudeau to step down.

PP needs to abandon the silly non-confidence calls and let the country enjoy watching the Libs collapse like the twin towers, but of it's own accord. If a election comes after mid winter, he'll enjoy a Mulroney style sweep.

Waste of resources. She's a smart lady, well educated and well informed. Making her an enemy will not look smart on Trudeau.

Not that Carney isn't smart. But Justin needs them both.

Looking at the numbers I don't see the NDP even eeking out 2nd place. Looks like it is going to be the bloc as the opposition. JT brought the liberals out of the wilderness and his own hubris will bring them right back to where they started. The wheels have come off the bus and the liberals are done as a political force and they crippled the NDP on their way out.

Nope, not worth the damage to the brand. Pull the pin already and focus on rebuilding trust. You gain nothing by waiting till October and trying to negotiate with a lame duck PM vs an invigorated Trump. He will run roughshod over this government without a mandate.
