Navalny's death makes it harder for skeptical citizens to dismiss the claims of European governments as easily as those of the Kremlin. Like leaving the head of your favorite horse in the bed of the owner makes an impression.

Russia’s “Rolls-Royce” Aurus — it’s over
The assembly line at the plant in Yelabuga has stopped. Officially, it’s called an “inventory check.” In reality, according to media reports, the cars simply stopped selling.
The situation is straightforward: officials and state companies already bought theirs, while ordinary buyers can’t afford a car priced at 50–70 million rubles. Export hopes have also faded — interest abroad is nearly nonexistent. Even Kim Jong Un, after taking a spin in a gifted Aurus, reportedly went back to his Mercedes-Maybach.
The factory now has no new orders, but it does have debts exceeding €80 million.
