Troubles are not over for Venice's Biennale expo after it allowed Russia to have a pavilion for the first time since its aggression against Ukraine.

After the EU pulled its €2M grant to the event, 22 European culture and foreign ministers torpedoed the expo, and Italy's culture minister himself refused to show up - this morning it was the turn of Pussy Riot activists storming the Russian pavilion, chanting "Russia kills, Biennale exhibits."

In the end, the pavilion won't even open to the public.

Victory Day parades on May 9 have been canceled in 15 regions across Russia.

In Moscow, military vehicles will reportedly not appear on Red Square for the first time since 2007. In Saint Petersburg, the parade marking the 81st anniversary of the victory will also take place without armored vehicles, according to Russian media.
