Re: Trump wants Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal
dont think US Americans understand how insanely repulsive this is. They dont even think of it. They dont understand that others love their countries as much as they love their own. They are deluded to think that they are exceptional and better than everybody and that everybody wants to be US Americans.
The reality is that this kind of threatening rhetoric of taking other countries makes people's blood boild and makes them hate the USA. The US Americans dont understand it, when they read how hated they are in the rest of the world, but this is why.

Visits by Canadians have cratered by 42% over the last year, cell phone data reveals
Cell‑phone tracking of Canadian devices travelling to U.S. metro areas between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026 reveals:
42% year‑over‑year decline in Canadian visits to U.S. cities
Only 3 of 267 U.S. metro areas saw any increase in Canadian visits
The drop is far larger than the 25% decline captured by Statistics Canada border‑return data
Some destinations saw catastrophic declines:
Myrtle Beach, SC: −65%
Yuma, AZ: −62%
Florida hotspots (Orlando, Miami, Naples, Cape Coral, Panama City): −50% or more
Major business hubs (San Francisco, New York, Boston, Houston, Dallas): −50%+
This shows the decline is not just tourism — business travel has also collapsed.

U.S. to slap tariffs on Canadian mushrooms as growers warn of broader risks for agriculture
What the U.S. is doing
Following a formal investigation, the U.S. Department of Commerce will apply 1.6% to 5% tariffs on Canadian fresh mushrooms.
These are countervailing duties, meaning Washington believes Canadian mushrooms are unfairly subsidized.
The investigation began in January 2026 after U.S. mushroom producers petitioned Commerce, arguing that Canadian agricultural tax exemptions amount to subsidies.
Why Canadian growers are alarmed
The Canadian Mushroom Growers’ Association says the U.S. justification is “unprecedented” because:
Both countries use agricultural tax exemptions
Such exemptions have never been treated as subsidies in trade cases
Accepting this logic could expose many other farm products to tariffs on both sides of the border
Growers warn this could trigger a broader escalation affecting beef, produce, greenhouse crops, and other sectors that rely on cross‑border trade.
Bottom line
The U.S. is moving ahead with 1.6–5% tariffs on Canadian mushrooms, citing tax exemptions as subsidies — a move Canadian producers say threatens to destabilize agricultural trade far beyond mushrooms.

Globe & Mail... no surprise!
The National Post would never publish anything positive about Canada.
