Re: Pierre Poilievre Is Lying To Your Face
The Four-Step Political Strategy:
The Preposterous Claim: Introduce a shocking or factually incorrect anecdote to grab attention. The example used is Poilievre citing a woman who claimed she felt safer moving to Mexico than staying in Vancouver (0:47 - 1:07).
The Anecdotal Shield: When questioned about the validity of the claim, shift responsibility to the source of the story (in this case, "a lady at the airport") rather than the data (3:24 - 3:52).
Ridicule the Media: Frame any challenge from journalists as an attempt to "silence" the individual, portraying the media as the enemy or "fake news" (4:39 - 5:13).
The Fear Narrative: Use the initial, debunked story as a bridge to promote a broader, fear-based political narrative—in this case, claiming that Liberal government policies have caused "chaos" and that only the speaker can restore safety (7:36 - 8:06).
Key Takeaways:
Fact-Checking the Narrative: The creator highlights that statistics do not support the claim that Vancouver is more dangerous than Mexico; in fact, Vancouver has seen significant declines in police-reported incidents since 2019 (1:33 - 2:34).
Critique of Mainstream Media: Kellerman argues that the media often fails to challenge these tactics effectively during interviews, allowing politicians to use them as a megaphone to amplify their rhetoric (11:18 - 11:21).
The Goal: The video concludes that this strategy is intended to foster distrust, blame political opponents, and instill fear in voters who live outside of the targeted cities, ultimately aiming to influence public opinion through emotional manipulation rather than factual discourse (17:28 - 18:00).

PP could do us all a favour by taking all his negativism and moving to Mexico where it is much safer.
If he could only put the "loyal" back into the Loyal Opposition, the CPC might gain a few million more votes.
There simply aren't enough votes to gain from supporters of sheer obstructionism.

Homophobia has always been a part of the con platform, along with christo-nationalism(abortion). JJ is just more blunt about it. If anything I prefer the honesty, at least he is up front about his bigotry.

Re: Pierre Poilievre Is Lying To Your Face
His incessant negativism once again causes him to make a fool of himself.
Upon the announcement of the southern pipeline deal, he immediately ignored all the arguments and obstacles in the way of a northern one and called the deal stupid, as Kiyimat & Prince Rupert are 36 hours closer to Asia than Vancouver and goes into a geography lesson a la Trump about the Earth being a sphere.....
As if X number of oil tankers a day sail WTF does it matter if the first one takes 36 hours longer to get there? (When it's 40 fucking years later than it should have been!)
Then he congratulates Smith ans says Carney needs to step out of the way as if he had nothing to do with it..
Just how fucking stupid does this man think Canadians are?
