BREAKING: I’m hearing there’s a standoff today between BC Conservative Executive Director (KLF bestie) Elaine Allan and the party board. Board members have lost access to their emails. Internal strife, external departures, or as they say at BCC, Wednesday.

In total, the BC Conservatives have lost 12 MLAs out of the 44 they elected in 2024.

5 MLAs left/booted under Rustad
1 MLA booted under Halford
5 MLAs left under Findlay
1 MLA stepped aside to allow Findlay to run in a byelection

It hasn’t even been two years.

It's become a stampede!
And following PP's playbook she doubles down and blames the defectors. Ignorance, stubbornness and deflecting any responsibility have become the virtues of the modern right.

Leaked audio appears to back claim that Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s team offered jobs for MLAs to step down
CHEK News and Canada’s National Observer both report that an anonymous X account (The Findlay Files) posted audio from a July BC Conservative caucus meeting. In that recording, a voice sounding like Findlay says:

“…if someone was willing to step aside, I could give them a role as senior advisor in their same portfolio…”

This directly mirrors the allegation made by Delta South MLA Ian Paton, who said Findlay’s team offered him a job with MLA‑equivalent pay if he vacated his seat.

CHEK’s Rob Shaw reports that MLAs he spoke with confirmed the audio is authentic.

Canada’s National Observer also describes a similar clip, noting it appears to show Findlay telling caucus members she “could give them a role as a senior advisor in the same portfolio” if they stepped aside to trigger a byelection.

⚖️ Why this is legally serious
Under the Criminal Code of Canada, it is illegal to offer a financial benefit or reward for an MLA to resign their seat. Violations can carry up to five years in prison.

The leaked audio appears to describe exactly the kind of inducement the law prohibits.

🧨 Findlay’s response
Findlay denies wrongdoing and calls the recording:

a “weak attempt at a political smear job”

“preposterous” and not evidence of a criminal offence

She argues the comments were “normal political discussions” and not an offer of a reward.

However, the leaked audio contradicts her earlier public denial that any job offers were made.

We are closely monitoring the situation within the Conservative Party of BC.

All the Liberals who whined about someone (me) not being a "Team Player" - well looks like a lot of projection.

What we are witnessing is a controlled demolition of the party and its movement—driven by disgruntled establishment Liberals determined to undermine grassroots democracy.

All you quitters - just because you don’t like the coach doesn’t mean you quit the team. Bunch of babies 👶

Hilarious statement from the woman who wquit the team long before because it wasn't right wing and disusying enough. "The centrists are the quitters! Wah wah wah

Just redstart the BC Liberals. Stupid move abandoning the name simply because they fell for the BS that Liberal was a dirty word. Mere weeks before the ones that convinced people that was true came out ant showed their true MAGA fascist faces and lost ALL credibility.

BREAKING (1/8): Following the Triple O summit, small business and free enterprise leaders met this morning. No cameras. No talking points. And unlike Triple O summit, no lobbyists in the room. Just people trying to figure out what comes next in this province.
2/8 The idea on the table: a coalition. Harper Conservatives, Carney Liberals, Horgan New Democrats. Three tribes that used to spend their weekends attacking each other, now in the same room asking whether they want to win or want to be right.

4/8 - The platform is four things. Grow the economy. Control government spending. Develop our resources. Deal with affordability before another generation gives up on ever owning anything here. That's it. Nothing else. And that's the point. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

This is the political sand shifting under our feet. The is a fundamental and permanent shift. Horgan is dead and Eby is a policy wonk/bean counter and public speaking isn't his forte. Harper left his political movement to a thug and an arsonist with no discernible skills of his own and couldn't herd sheep let alone the tinfoil hat crazies that are his inner circle now. This leaves the Carney liberal camp to take the lead with their vision of how to get shit done. My money is this is what will be moving forward as the cons disintegrate like KLF is now and the smart ones will cut bait and join the government or stay and end up joining OneBC in a race to the bottom.
