Thats why Canada will always fight against minimal FOI and Privacy laws.

Too late, they are already here. BC FOI and PIPPA has the same effect as the laws in the EU requiring all tech to used USB-C cables to recharge. They force compliance or risk ostracizing themselves to markets that they require access too. Case in point is the trivial requirements to run candidates at the federal level if those same candidates are also running in the province they will need to harmonize their conduct or risk losing those same candidates that run in that province. The more the resist the inevitable the more absurd and untenable their position becomes.
