I guess that is the benefit of living in Alberta, where we've had generations of Ukrainian, Romanian, Polish, German, Latvian, etc. migration,

There are stalls at the Farmers Markets that sell the best Pyrogies, Cabbage Rolls, Syrynki, Borshch, Kapastunyak, Pickle Soup, Strudel, and Honey Cake. OMG if you haven't had Honey Cake!
Fantastic place in Lethbridge back in the 1970s. All the decor and ambience of your Granma's kitchen. Complete with the Come onna you eat! Hava summore!

Oma used to make a Hunters Stew, Krakaut and Bigos, whih a poppyseed strudel.
Fried Sauerkraut and beef. pepper, noodles with parmesean, piles of beef with mushrooms. I am drooling.

And a pork leg pot roast and dumplings. She would pour the fat from the roast on the big fluffy dumplings.

I want that.

There is a good Ukrainian restaurant, and a good Polish one in town. I will have to book a seat.

The Role of the MP: Canadians vote for a local Member of Parliament to represent their specific district. The creator emphasizes that these individuals are not just "decorative voting buttons" for party leaders but are meant to serve as the voice of their constituents (3:41 - 4:21).
The Problem of Party Discipline: While party cohesion is necessary for government function, excessive pressure on MPs to follow the party line over local interests undermines the role of the representative (4:33 - 5:25).
Proposed Solutions: To strengthen democracy, the creator suggests making local debates more accessible and meaningful, and promoting the use of standardized public resumes for candidates so voters can make informed decisions based on character and competence rather than just party affiliation (5:46 - 7:31).
The video concludes by encouraging Canadians to shift their focus from "Who should run Canada?" to "Who should represent me?" (7:45 - 8:13). This is the second-last episode of the series, with the finale focused on the overarching question of whether Canada can truly be rebuilt.
