AI is the high ground in the modern economy. US is using a gas powered leap to shortcut to high productivity levels. This is a short term burst of speed in a marathon that China has designed for the long game will mean this is the high water mark for America. Like a bow of a ship that juts above the horizon sharply before slipping under the waves. Thinking the US will out regulate vs China is a mugs game. China is already used to having no standards. They are going to own the renewable market and the US will be a footnote.

Am I overreacting or are the majority of us in trouble ?
No, you are not alone in feeling concerned about the current state of politics. Many redditors share similar sentiments, especially around topics like Trump's presidency, potential threats to civil liberties, and the general direction of the country.

Key Concerns
Trump's Presidency: "Trump is setting the stage to criminalize our existence in every way possible so he can persecute us."
Erosion of Democracy: "This is a time of chaos, a constitutional crisis, a dismantling of democratic institutions, attacks on and subjugation of the media, and threats to civil liberties."
Potential for Extremism: "For reference: look up how quickly democracy was destroyed once Hitler came into power."
Advice From Redditors
Stay Informed but Take Care of Mental Health: "It’s important for us to stay informed but also take care of our mental health. Worrying won’t change the outcome no matter how much distress we are in."
Engage in Positive Actions: "Putting our fears and worries into action to help others is more productive."
Seek Support in Communities: "You are not overreacting, if anything, those of us that have the means to leave but don't, are underreacting."

Carney and the EU treat the orange felon like a baby having a tantrum. Placate him in his presence and wait him out. They know his favorables are in a nose dive and his power will be dramatic but short lived. Best to play the long game and let him wear himself out while trying not to be a target. Trump's 'deals' are never deals they are demands that if surrendered to entirely become 'deals'. Zero sum gain and only fools play that game.
