We are next and frankly playing for time is our only option to try to slow the bleeding. This will only stop once the EU and Canada call Trump's bluff and show a united front. Shame China is the only country so far that has balls to do this. Bannon thinks the EU is a jellyfish and will cave and the slightest pushback. That was by design as long as the US was the grantor of protection for the free world, no longer. Now that the EU has been forced to fend for itself and is cut off from the US it will galvanize domestic production and all those US military contracts are going to evaporate. Not overnight as they will need to transition but the US place in the world as the #1 arms exporter days are OVER.

That's what he does. He's a grifter.

He got fucked by the EU and fucked by Japan. Neither will be buying any US made cars, Japanese won't buy rice they think is poor quality (even if it isn't, they just have to think that), and US produce won't make it through EU standards. The EU won't allow GM foods, and almost every US grain and pulse is GM. And US vehicles (they only make trucks now) won't fit on EU roads.

And our industry is in shambles as a result. CUSMA isn't going to save it.
