Ukraine bleeds, NATO allies are fleeced while US reaps the profits when companies like Lockheed Martin had significant backlogs in early 2026, securing guaranteed revenue for years. This creates a "triangular wealth transfer" from the European middle class to the American military-industrial complex. Additionally, Europe is shown to be dependent on U.S. gas, which is sold at a much higher premium than at home.

NATO has begun its largest exercise of 2026 in the Baltic without the participation of the U.S.

Operation Steadfast Dart 26 started on the Baltic Sea coast in Schleswig-Holstein. NATO’s rapid reaction forces landed at the Putlos training ground near the German island of Fehmarn.

The maneuvers are focused on practicing the rapid deployment of troops from southern Europe to the eastern flank.

The exercise includes 15 ships and about 2,600 soldiers. A total of around 10,000 troops, 1,500 units of equipment, and 17 ships from 13 countries are taking part.

The largest contingents have been sent by Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Greece. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius is overseeing the maneuvers.

The Allied Reaction Force, known as NATO's "tip of the spear," must be ready to deploy up to 40,000 troops within ten days in case of a crisis.

The decision to activate them is made by the NATO North Atlantic Council.
