I can see the potential but this is fools gold. Trump is going to fold like a cheap suit and give Russia everything it wants because it is Ukraine that has to pay the price. Ukraine will not be defeated overnight and the EU is going to keep Ukraine in the fight with what it has well into the next 5 years. The sanctions will be lifted and the Russian economy is still in a nose dive. The long term Russia will still implode because they went all in on a war that was supposed to be 3 days.
Ukraine can and will develop nukes. They have no other choice. NATO is dead its a free for all now and if you don't have nukes it's open season and that means Canada arctic is there for the taking by China/US and Russia. No one will stop them.

I have zero faith in anything said by the current crop of 'leadership'. I will watch their actions with dread instead.
