The idea, and the idea of the gas facility, was to sell bitumen to China and India, who have refiners to make it into gasoline, and natural gas to Asia. But as usual the UCP haven't been paying attention and noticed that most of Asia has gone renewable and EVs and don't need our hydrocarbons.

Because the oil companies that control her don't want that. Irving would go broke.

TLDR Freight and ferries travel the same strait with no issues and the LNG will have to travel it.
