I like how the MAGAs are gathering at Mar-A-Lago to decide the fate of Ukraine, without inviting Ukraine. USAian arrogance at it's finest!

They don't understand that Ukraine will fight to the last man (or woman) rather than be subjugated by Russia again. And with luck, Poland and France will send forces if the US decides it doesn't want to be the great liberator any more. Perhaps even the UK as well. After all, it is their problem before it will affect the US.

And of course, Europe will reap the benefits of Ikraines' natural resources and fertile farmland.

We have a rock and a hard place. Russia can't end the war and wants the entire country. Poland will not tolerate being next on the chopping block. Something will have to give and if the Trump team thinks cutting off Ukraine will stop the war they are only deluding themselves. Ukraine has lost far too much to roll over and even if they did the Russian economy is beyond the point of no return.

If the US pulls all support this will force the EU to deploy troops to Ukraine.

TLDR Russia using nukes now is the same as in 2022. Russia NEEDS to take all of Ukraine and nuking it would be nuking themselves.
