Patriot manufacturers fear Ukraine could produce missiles faster and more cheaply than the USA

Un unnamed Republican Party representative told The Atlantic why Washington has still not granted Ukraine a licence to manufacture interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defence system.

According to him, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin fear that Ukrainian engineers could improve the technology and then establish mass production β€” faster and at a significantly lower cost than existing US production lines.

Even RT is going with that story.

And Ukraine absolutely will build it faster, cheaper and in greater numbers. I'm surprised Japan doesn't already.

INsead, Ukraine will build their own system, and sell it to Europe cheaper and Rayethon will have only one customer for their mediocre product.

Case in point:

The Czech Republic will be producing more large-caliber ammunition than the United States by the end of 2026.

Combined, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the UK will match Russian large-caliber ammunition production by the end of the year.

πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ΏπŸ’₯πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ BIG | Czech defense giant CSG is dramatically expanding large-caliber ammunition production as demand from Ukraine and European militaries continues to surge.

According to Militarnyi, Czechoslovak Group (CSG) plans to manufacture approximately 850,000 rounds of large-caliber ammunition by the end of 2026.

That would represent an increase of roughly 300,000 rounds compared with 2025, when the company produced about 550,000.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Ukraine has also become a major market for the Czech defense group. During the first half of 2026 alone, CSG generated €558 million in revenue from the Ukrainian market, accounting for approximately 17% of the company's total revenue during the period.

The figures underline the accelerating expansion of Europe's defense-industrial base, with Ukraine's enormous wartime ammunition requirements helping drive production capacity to levels unseen in decades.
