Never thought we would hear this level of honesty from a Western leader, and certainly not Canada, given the direction of Canada in the past 25 years. Canada's shift towards multialignment is quite clear - and this level of honesty from Carney on Western "fiction" about the old order will be warmly welcomed in much of the Global South:
"We knew that the story about the rules-based order was partially false... We knew that international law applied with varying rigour depending on the identity of the accused and the victim. This fiction was useful [because of the goods provided by American hegemony]... So we placed the sign in the window. We participated in the rituals. And we largely avoided calling out the gaps between rhetoric and reality. This bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... You cannot live within the lie of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination."

The U.S. Department of Defense plans to cut its participation in a range of NATO advisory groups, the latest sign of the Trump Administration’s drive to scale back its military presence in Europe and its souring relationship with NATO Allies, according to multiple officials familiar with the matter who spoke to the Washington Post.
Plans made by the Pentagon are expected to primarily cut personnel at NATO Centres of Excellence (COE) across Europe, which are staffed by roughly 200 Americans, along with military personnel from every other members of NATO. Rather than withdraw all at once, the Pentagon intends not to replace personnel as their postings end, a process that could take years, with officials claiming this has nothing to do with current tensions over Greenland.

The US, like Russia, is quickly running out of markets.

The President is trying to sue to prevent all DoJs from *EVER* releasing the second volume of the Jack Smith report.
Given that Smiths testimony on volume one is public later this week, it suggests his Greenland antics could be part of his cover-up effort.
As a reminder, Smith says, on sworn record, that his report has undeniable proof that the President *knowingly* conspired to forge documents and steal the election, even if he lost.
