UN REFUGEE AGENCY CHAIR RESIGNS AFTER EPSTEIN ISLAND VISIT REVEALED
Joanna Rubinstein stepped down as chair of Sweden for UNHCR after unsealed documents showed she and her family visited Epstein's private island in 2012.
UNHCR is the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the UN agency responsible for aiding and protecting displaced people worldwide.
She sent Epstein a warm thank-you email describing the stay positively.
This was after his 2008 sex crime conviction.
Rubinstein now says she finds the "full extent of his abuses appalling" and is distancing herself.
