Cold hard truths. It took A LOT to wake up the EU from their slumber and there is no guarantee even now that they couldn't just go back to their old habits but the old ways are done. The EU KNOWS they can't deal with Russia and have only tolerated/ignored his conquests but they also know they can't deal with Trump either as his word is transactional at best. The only currency either of them will respect is force of arms. In order for the EU to have allies it needs to stand up for itself because the US has just abandoned the theater.

Ukraine’s Best European Missile Just Shot Down Its First Russian Jet

One of Ukraine’s two SAMP/T surface-to-air missile batteries has shot down a Russian warplane for the first time. That’s obvious good news for Ukraine, which could rely more on the Franco-Italian air defense system—Europe’s answer to the American Patriot.
