A NATO without US is a paper tiger. A power shift is inevitable and Turkey is on the clock with inflation eating their economy from within. The situation in Syria has broken in favor of Turkey putting the Kurds and Iran on the backfoot and the Russians packing. So they are all in on fortifying their position both here and in Ukraine. They have the army but not the economy so the EU needs to step up fast. Turkey could well force the EU hand by sending troops in without the EU green light. Asking forgiveness and not permission gets shit done.
