Iran and the US received a ceasefire plan

Pakistan’s army chief held separate calls with US and Iranian officials.

The proposal is a two-stage deal: first a ceasefire, then a final agreement.

According to sources, Iran would give up nuclear weapons in exchange for sanctions relief and unfreezing of assets.

The plan is expected to be discussed on Monday. If successful, it could lead to an immediate ceasefire, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a final deal within 15–20 days.

For context, Jubail spans over 1,000 square km with more than 150 industrial facilities, accounting for roughly 7% to 12% of Saudi GDP and about 50% of total foreign direct investment.

It processes around 500,000 to 700,000 barrels per day and hosts major steel, aluminum, fertilizer, and chemical plants, supported by large power stations.

This might have been a very damaging hit.

Compromising National Security: The host argues that in the world of intelligence, "failures are known, successes are not". By reportedly bragging about sending weapons to Iranian protesters through Kurdish intermediaries, Trump undermined the secrecy essential to such operations
Impact on Iranian Opposition: The revelation allows the Iranian government to easily frame all internal opposition—even groups completely unconnected to the U.S.—as foreign-controlled agents This severely hinders organic dissent within the country
Undermining U.S. Credibility: The host points out that such disclosures discourage future potential allies from working with the U.S., as they fear the president might "burn them for a sound bite"
Moral Responsibility: The administration is criticized for publicly supporting the "bravery" of protesters while simultaneously taking actions that effectively put their lives at risk by providing the Iranian government with pretexts for crackdowns
