Is there any way to adjust the permissions of new accounts? Otherwise, we are just playing whack-a-mole and the volume of the spam has been increasing.

New user group can no longer start new topics, use BB code or links or images.
Can only read and reply to posts, must do so three times to move to regular users group.
Let me know if this causes problems.

Vive used to have a naughty word filter.

I used to jut add the word they like to use in the topic of their span, and that ended quick.

"Casino" for example.

We should have a mod thread not open to public to discuss. That said, since the change no spam.

Canadian ones most likely with British uncles that used the C word (that drives Americans ballistic) in everyday conversation.

I visit another site with a word filter, full of clearly racist and outright nazi posts and views and their word fliter won't even let you post that it "pisses" you off. Can't even call Poilievrie as Peepee because of it.

Can we get ip block for Russia? And we may need to purge all new accounts created within the last 2-3 months.

Can we suspend all new account and have it by request only to an email we can monitor?
