What confuses me is that this is appealing to no one and not even slightly. Zero effort was put into this. It is crass and blatantly opportunistic. In no way does this grapple with the causes or practical needs of gun control. Just slap a sticker on it and say fixed I guess. Checking off a box nothing more.

As Mr. Runkle suggests, it's likely a ploy to get better poll numbers by making people who know nothing about firearms angry, and pretending the liberals are doing something about a problem we don't have to distract away from the problems we do have. And target shooters pay the price.

That was a given but it's a ruse that has no resonance with the populace. I'm sure they focus group these things to death but there really isn't enough pull with this issue on the voting public. The people who are against it will only be more cauterized to their position and the ones that are not are just as unmoored to the issue. Now the overfocus on LBGTQ issues seems to resonate with both sides to keep everyone distracted from the billionaires stealing in plain sight as gun control and abortion rights seem stale in comparison.

Till the liberals understand that people are upset with eaking by while the rich rip us off they will be doomed to defeat. Sadly, we will just replace one tyrant for another under pp.

Well said. The liberals policies are a thin veneer but when you dig just beyond the surface there is nothing. It's why pp 3 word slogans, bad as they are, work. The liberals stand for NOTHING.
