South Korea offers Canada submarines, artillery, weapons worth $24 bn

South Korea has sensed a great opportunity to arm the Canadian military after US President Donald Trump’s blistering verbal attack on its northern neighbour. The Asian country presented Canada with a proposal valued between $20 billion and $24 billion, aimed at modernising its military capabilities by supplying advanced submarines, artillery systems, and armoured vehicles in early March 2025.

I like that we asked for a proposal, they came back with a detailed cost list and timeline.
