If we had a REAL LOYAL Opposition party bills like this would be vetted to improve the bill. Instead we have a clown show that wants to throw out the constitution and use the notwithstanding clause as an 'I WIN' button.

But they are the opposition! They oppose everything. Luckily they have given up the silly rhyming though.

There seems to be a consensus among the remnants of the conservative party that the Notwithstanding clause exists to provide a convenient opt-out for laws you well know are unconstitutional.
Even Stephen Harper wasn't that callous and shameless.
But the disrespect for law and order in the name of law and order seems to have crept North with the goings on South of the border.
Wanna set minimum bails next? Jail people who can't afford it?
Fill the jails with drug addicts and shoplifters so you can create a 'need' for privatized ones?
Then gripe online about the cost to imprison people?

Cry all day about law and order but actually fund justice? Working as a correctional officer is now a temp job, not a career. The burn out is at record levels, they can't retain anyone. The jails are on shoestring budgets and crumbling and the courts are jammed to capacity with a backlog that is out the door.
But sure, the homeless on the street are the problem...
