China is forming an alliance against the U.S. following the attacks on Iran

Beijing condemned the Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iran and the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling it a violation of Iran's sovereignty.

After the attacks on February 28, Tehran suspended shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which is a key transport route for global oil trade.

Half of the 20 million barrels of oil transported daily through the strait are destined for China. 90% of Iran's oil is exported to China, and starting in April 2025, payments for oil will be made in yuan, as Iran has been excluded from the international SWIFT payment system.

Iran and China are strengthening political cooperation: Tehran has been a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) since 2023 and will join BRICS+ in 2024.

Beijing also accuses the U.S. of operating under the "law of the jungle," where diplomacy is conducted through force and missiles rather than negotiations.

According to observers, the attacks on Iran provide China with an opportunity to strengthen anti-American sentiment and challenge U.S. leadership in the world.
