The Kremlin has officially called the "special military operation" a war

The Challenge: Ukraine faces frequent ballistic missile strikes (Iskander, Kinzhal) that are difficult to counter. Existing solutions are expensive, limited in supply, and subject to slow procurement processes (2:36-3:37).
The Solution: A four-year-old Ukrainian company, Firepoint, founded by engineers and designers, is building the FP-7X interceptor. They recently completed a successful, fully controlled maneuvering flight test—a critical milestone for a viable interceptor (4:06-5:33).
Strategic Partnership: In a major shift, Firepoint has partnered with German sensor firm Hensoldt to integrate the Tridion 4D radar into the Freyja system. This leverages combat-proven technology already used in Ukraine’s IRIS-T batteries (6:21-7:10).
Doctrine Inversion: The video highlights a significant change in European defense: instead of Ukraine merely being a customer for Western systems, it is now acting as a prime contractor/designer, offering a faster, more agile alternative to traditional peacetime procurement models (9:33-10:28).
Status of the Program:
While the missile test was a success, the project is still in development. The system requires further integration of the seeker, command, and control nodes. The stated goal is to reach production by the end of the year (8:10-9:16, 11:00-11:16).
