The Federal NDP is gone, what's next?

The Federal NDP is down to 5 seats; they're irrelevant politically. I was happy that Jagmeet did the honourable thing by resigning as party leader after the bloodbath. Unlike Polievre.
So what's next for progressive, left-of-center politics in Canada? Will the NDP rebuild? Will a new left-of-center party emerge? Have all the NDP voters permanently moved to the Liberals?

No, and they never will be at home there. pp is so unpopular as to be radioactive and as a result those who can't stand the liberals will jump ship to the NDP in droves as it is the only viable federal political option IF the NDP manage to have a leader with a seat in the house in the next 6 months. They will attempt to hijack the NDP just as the progressive conservatives were taken over by maple maga via the grass roots and flooding memberships.

So if I understand you you're saying that the people who cannot stand PP will stay clear of the Liberals and move to the NDP?! Am I reading you correctly? Maybe I misread that.

Okay I read your post again and I get it now. I think the NDP are finished as the voters who voted NDP before have likely permanently moved to the Liberals. I agree that voters think that PP is radioactive.

The dippers who jumped ship to the liberals to save the country from pp are mostly staying where they are. Where movement is greatest now is the collapsing con vote because they are aware that pp will not win any election so they are looking for the exits. A great deal will just not vote but those who do leave will cling to the only raft that can hold their weight and it isn't the PPC. If they come in enough numbers they will try to wrestle control of the party.

It's not going to due at all, The collapse of the last election was more about PP being so loathed Dippers went Liberal. The focus was the jerk down south and the single solution of cutting taxes wasn't going to help, the MAGA influence within the Tories offended many, and many Dippers realized a powerful NDP influence would enrage the Orange Asshike into full psycho mode.

The NDP's main obstacle to overcome it their opposition to LNG and oil expports. The revenue stream is a necessity at this particular time.
