TLDR the Greens on BC and the NDP in Ontario ended up getting more cons elected than not. Quebec saved the day by ditching the Bloc and backing Carney. The cons have hit the high water mark with their current tact and leader. They need to speak to more issues than what Alberta and Sask want to hear. Then are in DIRE need for a leader that is acceptable to Quebec. Their current lineup is lacking depth.

They need to step on the necks of the climate deniers, anti-vaxxers and 'social conservatives', cooperate with an interim leader.
Then draft Doug Ford to replace Poilievre, and move more to the center. And if he can keep the nut jobs quiet during the next election, unlike PP and Harper. they'll win a big majority.
They can run on a "time for change" as it will be after 4 terms, and the change they offer won't be so ugly.

Harper did the same with the abortionists and western separationists. It got him a majority under the 'I won't rock the boat' vote. Clearly pp was too busy being an attack dog to notice this.
JivanI is now the new pp and will double down on this nonsense. The base will eat this up but it isn't gonna fly in Quebec or the maritimes and they need them to get to 172 seats. Doug can smell a loser and is trying to warn them off but I think the base is no longer able to reason. I can't see Tim Houston being welcomed back into the fold either and the more they try to alpha dog him the more isolated they become. They will go back to their self reinforcing echo chambers and will their own version of reality to life. The cons have a REAL problem with lying in politics. They no longer know where the line is and see the truth is only what they want to hear. Only massive unemployment and a crashed economy will snap them out of the stupor they are in. So we have to wait till that happens to the US, they eat their young and then this tornado of misinformation from the US and fanned by Russia finally gets snuffed out.
