I renew my theory that Star Trek is looking to morph into the Andromeda future story line that Rodenberry created and this last episode makes me sure of it.

Seen the show and the spinoffs and enjoyed it but knew it was pablum propaganda much like the southern myth was. The irony is that the very people that take offence to revisionism and LGTBQ rights are the very people who love and adore this show and its version of the past.
