Not everyone deserves the chance to become a better person. Kirk was a racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, POS who peddled fear, ignorance, hatred, bigotry, and in a lot of cases violence much of it directed to marginalized/vulnerable people and groups and he did it for personal/financial/political gain. I know it flies in the face of the message of 'we have to show empathy and compassion to the fascists who would happily line us up against the wall'(which is easy for people like Cody to do because he's not the one being actively targeted and having to see shit like ICE raid your apartment and zip tie your kids) the showdy likes to preach every now and then but I'm happy Kirk is dead because he would have been happy to see people I care about die and I'll save my sympathy and empathy for the millions of Americans who aren't the human version of a dumpster fire.

Trump isn't going to FORCE generals to a loyalty oath. It was never on the table. Rather it is the intimidation he is reliant upon. Much like how youtube paid out 25 million to Trump for shutting down his channel on Jan 6 when had they him dead to rights had they proceeded to appeal in court. The generals know it is a show and most will ignore it because they are not the target, the people are.
