We are the only G7 country without it.
Everyone must submit tax information to CRA, and once a year you have to buy a program to go to CRA and get those records, then manipulate them and submit the result to CRA.
Why can't CRA just do that for 99% of us for nothing? Because Intuit lobbiests. Same reason the IRS is still on reel to reel tapes.
