Facebook bans linking to Distrowatch
It seems that Facebook is now removing links to Distrowatch, removing posts about Linux. Distrowatch is deemed to be a security threat. I've used Linux since 2002. The real security threat is Facebook.

Anyone who likes Linux is a subversive Marxist commie. If you won't BUY your OS from a good US company like Microsoft you must be an enemy of the State.
I'm sure the Fanta Fascist would be open to a $250 tariff on Linux downloads.

Haha! I'm sure that's true. I don't use Microsoft. I've used Linux since 2002.testerone wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2025 3:40 pm Anyone who likes Linux is a subversive Marxist commie. If you won't BUY your OS from a good US company like Microsoft you must be an enemy of the State.

The only time I use M$ is as a VM under Linux.
I've been a subversive since 1990. Got my first Linux Distribution on my second CD.

My job requires all sorts of MS crap. But I don't have to use it at home.

My condolences. My worksite was a M$ only shop. The IT director didn't like Linux. Thankfully I retired in 2016.al_keda wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 7:07 pm My job requires all sorts of MS crap. But I don't have to use it at home.

Don't have a choice. People keep giving me money to fix Windows.
Almost always there's nothing wrong with it. I need a hammer to fix them instead.
I use my Raspberry Pi for Linux, as I miss running a Linux server bank. And there's a pile of older laptops all switched to Linux behind me I can't even give away free. But they're not Windows....wahhh

I saw a RISCv system that runs a Windows emulator faster than Windows. And cheaper.
Also saw a Mainboard I bought a year ago for $400 on sale for $1500. Exactly the same board!
